What does Velvet Antler have in it that does this?

Elk Antler has 40 of the bodies required 181 nutrients! They are as follows:

Calcium (Ca)    -provides structure for bones and teeth, and is essential for nerve impulse conduction, muscle contraction, and blood clotting.
Copper(Cu)    -necessary for red blood cell development, bones, nerves
Iron(Fe)    -essential for blood cells transporting oxygen throughout the body.
Manganese(Mn)    -needed for development of bones and connective tissue, and for normal functioning of the nervous system.
Magnesium (Mg)    -needed in metabolic reactions and storing and releasing energy in cells.
Phosphorus(P)    -provides structure for bones and teeth, and is a component of nearly all metabolic reactions.
Potassium(K)    -needed for nerve and muscle function.
Selenium(Se)    -powerful antioxidant.
Sulfur(S)    -is a component of various amino acids and insulin.
Zinc    -part of the enzymes involved in digestion and respiration, and is necessary for normal wound healing and skin health.

Proteins/Collagen/Lipids

Proteins (Including all essential amino acids)    -are the structural materials in cells, and aid in growth and repair of tissues.
Collagen    -a major structural component of bones, tendons, ligaments, and cartilage.
Lipids (All essential fatty acids including omega 3 and 6)    -build cell parts and boost energy for cellular activities.

Growth Hormones and Growth Factors

Insulin-like Growth Factor (IGF-1)
Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)
Growth hormones and factors have an effect on growth and maintenance of bones, promoting protein and fat metabolism, stimulating cartilage growth, and thickening and lengthening bones in children. They also have growth promoting actions on the skin.

Glycosaminoglycans (GAG's)

Hyaluronic acid    -is the cement material of connective tissue and a component of synovial fluid that cushions the joint.
Chondroitin sulphate    -an extremely potent anti-inflammatory agent.
Glucosamine sulphate    -an amino sugar that occurs naturally in the body. It's glue-like qualities help to hold tissues together. It is also a major component of synovial fluid, which lubricates and serves as a shock absorber for the joints.
Erthropoeitin    -a hormone produced in the kidneys and released into the bloodstream in response to low oxygen levels, thus helping to increase oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood.
Prostaglandins    -a chemical messenger produced in virtually all tissues causing a broad range of positive effects on many of the body's defense systems.
Phospholipids    -effective structural materials in cell membranes. They help to facilitate the passage of fat in and out of cells and blood.
Glycosphingolipids    -involved in cell metabolism and growth.

"Hi, I just wanted to tell you about my mare Isobelle. She was givent to me about 5 years ago as the owner had moved and didn’t want her anymore. She was always unsound off and on, would be ok for a few rides and just when she was starting to get into some shape she would become off on a different leg each time. With no treatment she would be sound again and we would ride her for lessons. Then she would be off again on a different leg for no apparent reason. Sometimes she would trot out to the field only to come up at night off again. I did massage, chiropractor, rest and nothing seemed to work. I was actually asking the vet about when it was time to put her down, you know, quality of life etc, She said any time as she didn’t know what was wrong with her either. At that time my sister brought her friend over to see Isobelle and she told me about elk velvet. It sounded way out there and I couldn’t see how it would work. The girl said she had a horse that had been helped by the velvet and to at least try it. She had used p0ills and said you need lots of them but it really worked. She couldn’t remember the place in Alberta where she got them pills, so I got on the internet and found Antler Hill. I started Isobelle on 2 tsps of the power right away and there didn’t seem to be a difference, but after about 3 weeks I did notice she was moving differently when turned out. She had a huge lofty trot, much different than the little short choppy trot of before. She began cantering with the herd with her tail in the air and SOUND! There were still times she would look a bit off but didn’t last for long. Lately she has been sound for about 4 months and we have been riding her again in lessons, so far she is staying sound even with the regular work. I started her on the velvet in April of 2015 and plan to continue for the full year and then wean her off and see what happens. I can truly say that elk velvet has saved her life! Thank you."
