Over the long weekend in September 2013 we were preparing ourselves to say the final goodbye to our beloved Old English Sheepdog Maggie Mae. Maggie was coming up to her 13th birthday on Sept. 21st and we really didn't think she would make it. Maggie was a healthy weight however her back legs were giving out on her. She had no stamina, refusing food, and everything seemed an effort for her.
That weekend we decided that nothing would be lost if we took her off the glucosamine for pets and replaced it with Peak Performance Elk Antler Velvet. Within a week we couldn't believe the change in Maggie. She was back to eating, wanting to go for walks, and taking an interest in everything around her. Every day we put 1 spoonful of the powdered velvet on top of her dry food, which she eats with gusto!
It's been 6 months and Maggie is still an old dog, but now she is an old dog with a bit of spirit. Her eyes are milky from cataracts, her hearing is selective, and we only do short walks on nice days and car rides whenever possible. However, she eats everything within her reach and begs for more. With lots of carrots and apples, and moving the cat's food well out of her reach, we've managed to keep her at a healthy weight of 70 lbs, much to her chagrin. Every extra month we have with our "girl" is a blessing, and we thank Peak Performance Elk Antler Velvet for this special time with Maggie."

"Back in December 2009, I came to Antler Hill Elk Ranch to buy elk velvet for my dog. She is an eight year old great dane, with arthritis. This has been her best winter in 2 years. She enjoys going outside on cooler days and in the mornings, she is a lot less stiff. The elk velvet has made a world of difference for her. She is a very fussy eater, but I had no troubles adding the velvet to her food.
Now it is February 2010, and I have come back to Antler Hill Elk Ranch for my horse. She is an off the track TB and has jumped on the A circuit, in the 1.1m division for over 6 years. It has taken its toll on her body. I'm hoping the elk velvet will work on her as well as it did on my dog.

"Hi, I just wanted to tell you about my mare Isobelle. She was givent to me about 5 years ago as the owner had moved and didn’t want her anymore. She was always unsound off and on, would be ok for a few rides and just when she was starting to get into some shape she would become off on a different leg each time. With no treatment she would be sound again and we would ride her for lessons. Then she would be off again on a different leg for no apparent reason. Sometimes she would trot out to the field only to come up at night off again. I did massage, chiropractor, rest and nothing seemed to work. I was actually asking the vet about when it was time to put her down, you know, quality of life etc, She said any time as she didn’t know what was wrong with her either. At that time my sister brought her friend over to see Isobelle and she told me about elk velvet. It sounded way out there and I couldn’t see how it would work. The girl said she had a horse that had been helped by the velvet and to at least try it. She had used pills and said you need lots of them but it really worked. She couldn’t remember the place in Alberta where she got them pills, so I got on the internet and found Antler Hill. I started Isobelle on 2 tsps of the power right away and there didn’t seem to be a difference, but after about 3 weeks I did notice she was moving differently when turned out. She had a huge lofty trot, much different than the little short choppy trot of before. She began cantering with the herd with her tail in the air and SOUND! "To those that have never tried Elk Velvet, I highly think you should. Back in April 2013, I slept in pain, couldn't even move my arms above my head. My girls had to help me get dressed, I couldn't use my hands, barely at all. I needed help getting in and out of the bath and toilet. Now 3 months later... I'm able to sleep through the night, take my dogs for a walk and enjoy my family. I appreciate everything a lot more instead of thinking about pain. My specialist can't believe how well I'm doing.

Cuts, Scraps, Burns and Arthritis

Thanks for the prompt delivery of the Elk Velvet powder. It's a great product - lots of uses: Our 2 dogs like it. It helps to keep them spry as they get up in age. I sprinkle some on their food @ feeding time. But I do believe also warm weather helps with the arthritis as well. Good combination the 2. Any cuts or scrapes , I disinfect & put some powder on the wound site, be it animal or human. Used it for burns. Put the elk velvet on & then some polysporin & a bandage, seemed to be of benefit. The burn was a surface burn only. So just a few things, I use it for.

Hip Surgery Cancelled

Back in August of 2010, I was diagnosed with Arthritis in the hip and told by my doctor and surgeon that I would need a hip replacement. I was put on all kinds of medications to help with the pain that I was going through. The medications I was taking started affecting other areas of my life, which in turn meant more meds. I had no quality of life, could not sleep, could not work anymore, depression and the list goes on. After many hours of studies on the internet, Elk Velvet Antler kept coming up. One of the areas it was sold in was Innisfail. I went to the farm and met up with Eleanor and Allen. Eleanor was such a gracious and caring woman and spoke with me for about 30 mins explaining to me the benefits of taking Elk Velvet Antler and how we need to change the way we treat our bodies. I started talking Elk Velvet Antler and within one month I threw away all the drugs that the doctor was giving me and went back to work. It is now one year later; my surgery has been cancelled and I do have quality of life back. I thank God for bringing me together with Eleanor and Allen, Elk Velvet Antler has changed my life.
